Welcome to ThistleDew Farm. Forty years ago, Ellie and I bought 2 beehives in Reading , Pa. Two years later we moved to West Virginia and began what one of our sons describes as "the great experiment". We wandered through a lot of agricultural endeavors in the ensuing years and finally settled into beekeeping. Tending bees and producing honey is fascinating, worthwhile and sustainable. Beekeeping was green long before "thinking green" was ever envisioned. Our honey bee colonies are situated along the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains along the Ohio River Valley and in the Upper Potomac Highlands in Eastern West Virginia.
Our delicious "naturally produced" honey is packed in numerous sizes of various containers. From a honey straw to a 5 gallon bucket, from a honey bear to a fancy collectible glass jar, we have a size for you. We make flavored or infused honeys, honey mustards, creamed honeys and award winning honey-based condiment, West's Best Hot Pepper Butter, pure beeswax candles, skin and lip creams. We also wholesale our products to fine gift shops across the country.
