BeeMovie: Your Input Is Needed for this Unique Marketing Opportunity! We Need Your Ideas!NHB is planning a variety of honey promotions to tie into the movie, including producing promotional materials for use by small to medium sized honey producers at farmer’s markets, in-store promotions, etc. These materials will likely feature graphics from the movie, along with a 100 percent pure honey message. Some materials being considered for production include:
We need your feedback! Let NHB know which of the above materials you find useful or send us your own ideas! Send your input to honeybuzz@nhb.org Honey a Hit (Again) at CaterSource 2007Honey was met with enthusiasm at NHB’s booth at the CaterSource 2007 exhibition in Las Vegas, Nev., Jan. 29-31. The exhibition and conference attracts some 3,000 caterers and chefs looking for new menu ideas. NHB’s booth featured a fondue theme, offering samples of Mexican Honey Fondue and Chocolate Honey Fondue. Comb honey samples also were provided, following the huge popularity of the comb honey and cheese samples NHB provided at its CaterSource booth last year. In fact, some of this year’s attendees said they had incorporated NHB’s comb honey/cheese ideas into their catering operations. NHB to Fund Four Production Research Projects in 2007 NHB will fund four production
research projects in 2007 to study a variety of colony health issues.
Funding for the projects totals $108,748, an increase over last year’s
funding level of $63,475. NHB began funding production research projects
in 2004 to help beekeepers maintain colony health, without adversely
affecting their ability to produce quality honey. Since 2004, NHB has
funded twelve such projects with funding totaling $183,067. Visit the
following link for a list of the 2007 projects.
20 Years of Sweet Success: Looking BackIn 2007, NHB is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Periodically in this space we will highlight some important milestones NHB has accomplished along the way.
