Lightening the Menu for Spring’s Arrival
It seems like this has been a very long winter. We’ve been hibernating in our homes all season, making delicious stews and soups to stay warm and cozy while the uninviting cold and wind sticks around a little longer. But there is hope: Spring officially began on March 20th, and the tiniest signs of new growth are beginning to peek out of the ground. The sun is slowly warming the air and thawing the soil to make way for new, seasonal ingredients and new menu options for you and your family.
After all of those comfort foods during the winter months, it is the perfect time to do a little spring cleaning for your diet. When the weather warms up, the natural tendency is to lighten up the menu. In this issue of The Honey Feast, we’re featuring some unique salads to introduce your taste buds to the flavors of spring. And we promise that you won’t miss your heavy winter fare one bit when you try these tasty salads. Enjoy!
