A U. S. Department of Agriculture chemist who has become known throughout the world for his research on honey was honored today by the U. S. Department of Agriculture. He is Dr. Jonathan W. White, Jr. J a member of the staff of the Agricultural Research Service’s Eastern Utilization Research and Development Division in Wyndmoor, Pa. (near Philadelphia). Dr. White received his award along with other USDA employees throughout the country, from Secretary of Agriculture Orville L. Freeman in ceremonies in the Sylvan Theater on the grounds of the Washington Monument in Washington, D. C., following an address by Secretary of the Interior Stewart L. Udall.
