The Draft Standards for Sugars and Honey contained in Appendices 1 and 2 are submitted to the Twenty-second session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission for adoption at Step 8. Governments and interested international organizations wishing to propose amendments or to comment on these Standards should do so in writing in j i conformity with the Guide to the Consideration of Standards at Step 8 of the Procedure for the Elaboration of Codex Standards Including Consideration of Any Statements ! I Relating to Economic Impact (Codex Alimentarius Commission Procedural Manual, Ninth Edition, pp. 33-35) to the Chief, Joint FAOIWHO Food Standards Programme, FAO, Via delle Terme di Caracalla, 00100 Rome, Italy, not later than 23 May 1997.
