Dear Dr. Cherry, Thank you for the invitation to your 50th Anniversary bash. I am sorry that I cannot be there, but I will take advantage of the invitation to extend my congratulations to the Center for your many accomplishments and for surviving it all for 50 years. A celebration such as this encourages reminiscing, especially by us old, somewhat broken-down researchers who spent so much time in your hallowed labs. I hope you will forgive my meandering among some of the memories.
