Not only are eggs essential in many recipes from baked goods to sauces, they are also versatile on their own with countless ways to be prepared and enjoyed. Though small, protein-rich eggs are mighty in the nutrition arena and serve as a source of many beneficial vitamins and other nutrients. According to Healthline.com, eggs also play a role in reducing heart disease, promoting eye health, and may even help you reduce your risk of stroke and lose weight. And for those worried about the cholesterol content of eggs, studies have shown that your liver compensates for the added cholesterol to keep your blood cholesterol balanced, and eggs are even a good way to increase your HDL ("Good") cholesterol.
Around here we are definitely into single-ingredient foods (there should only ever be one ingredient in your honey - honey!) and eggs are a definitive favorite.
