These Three Bakeries are Sharing the Honey Love during National Honey Month!

Bread cropped

We’re into our second week of National Honey Month celebrations, and we have three more great retail bakeries we’re partnering with to tell you about. Each of these bakeries is promoting honey, honey bees and the use of this 100% all-natural ingredient in breads, pastries and sweet goods at their bakeries in September.

Nathaniel Reid Bakery, Kirkwood, Missouri

Nathanial

Three days into National Honey Month and we received a call from Nathaniel that his sticky stations were all almost out of honey! Apparently, customer response has been amazing, but that’s nothing new for Nathaniel Reid Bakery. Since opening in 2016, the bakery has been a destination for St. Louis residents.

We met Nathaniel at our 2019 Honey Baking Summit, where we saw firsthand the skills he brought to pastries and sweet goods. For September, he will be featuring multiple made with honey products, including a Buckwheat Honey and Flour, Apricot and Oat Streusel Pound Cake. Visit Nathaniel Reid Bakery in St. Louis or online.

Good Cakes and Bakes, Detroit, Michigan

We’ll never forget the apiary tour from the 2018 Honey Baking Summit, which was attended by Chef April Anderson of Good Cakes and Bakes. After admiring her baking the prior day, it was our turn to show her the amazing world of bees through an in-depth hive visit.

From that point on, we’ve been working together to promote honey bees and honey as part of National Honey Month. At her bakery in Detroit, Chef April offers a variety of organic cakes, cupcakes, breakfast breads and other sweet goods.  If you’re in the Motor City, go out of your way to eat at the bakery or visit the Good Cakes and Bakes website

Little Tart Bakeshop, Atlanta

Nine years ago, people started to take notice of the baked goods that Sara O’Brien was bringing to farmers markets throughout Atlanta. The buzz started building and in 2011, a brick-and-mortar bakery officially launched Little Tart Bakeshop as an Atlanta institution. Today, Sarah has expanded her bakery to three locations and continues to build her reputation as an outstanding baker.

This is the second year we’ve worked with Little Tart Bakeshop, installing Sticky Stations at all three of the bakery’s locations. Stop by and try one of their amazing bakery foods topped with a delicious honey varietal. Not in Atlanta? You can buy some of their bakery foods online and have them shipped to you!
