Honey Wheat Soda Bread

In large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt and soda. Make well in center. Add honey, buttermilk and egg. Stir just until moistened. (Batter will be soft.) Place in greased 1-quart casserole. Bake at 375°F for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool completely before slicing.

Yield: 12 serving

  • 2 cups - whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon - salt
  • 1 teaspoon - baking soda
  • 2 Tablespoons - honey
  • 1 cup - buttermilk
  • 1 - egg, slightly beaten
